This page contains instructions for configuring a new or existing email account in Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express. For help configuring other email clients, please use your program's help feature and reference the settings described below.


New Account

1. In Outlook or Outlook Express, go to the Tools menu and select Accounts.

2. In the Internet Accounts popup window, make sure the Mail tab is selected.

3. Click the Add button on the right and select Mail....

4. Enter your information into the Internet Connection Wizard as described here:
Your Name—enter your full name

Internet Email Address—enter your email address

Email Server Names—select POP3 server, enter mail.tsongas.net as your incoming mail server, and your ISP's mail server as your outgoing mail server (you may need to call them for that information)

Internet Mail Logon—enter your account name, which is the first part of your email address (everything before the "@"), then enter your password and leave the remember password box checked (don't check the box for Secure Password Authentication)

Congratulations—click the finish button
5. Back in the Internet Accounts window, click Close.


Existing Account

1. In Outlook or Outlook Express, go to the Tools menu and select Accounts.

2. In the Internet Accounts popup window, make sure the Mail tab is selected.

3. Click on the name of the account you want to configure, then click the Properties button on the right.

3. In the account properties popup window, click on the Servers tab. You should see the following screen:

4. Under Server Information, set the Incoming mail (POP3) server to mail.tsongas.net as shown above. Leave the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server set to your ISP's mail server.

5. Under Incoming Mail Server, enter the first part of your email address (everything before the "@") as your Account name, and enter your password. Click O.K.

5. Back in the Internet Accounts window, click Close.
